Printed balloons – they’re quite simply super ‘pop’ular – I guess because they’re a quick and easy way of grabbing attention.
Available in over 50 colours (are really that many colours in existence?!) there’s sure to be one to complement or match any event’s colour scheme.
Below is a photo of Karen, (Martina!) & Becks …what’s that saying again? “Never work with kids, animals or promotional balloons!”

We’re in the business of reproducing your logo to your exact specification (right colour, right size, right amount of white space around it, the right font etc, etc!) and transforming the promotional item you’ve chosen into a uniquely branded product – whether it be a promotional pen, personalised mug, printed USB or any business gift.
This month’s Blue Paper is all about brand guidelines and how to pull together everything you know about your brand into a single document so that everyone knows what can or can’t be done – thus ensuring every time your logo or strapline is reproduced on signage, letterhead, corporate clothing etc, etc – it’s spot on!
Download it now or print it for later – it’s a great read!

I just love pens. I’m surrounded with promotional pens at work and I even spend money on pens at weekends, so when I received an invitation to visit Bic Pens – I jumped at the chance. The factory (just outside Paris) was the size of 4 football pitches and every single component of the world-famous Bic Cristal pen is made here (I gathered up ‘bits & bobs’ as shown in the photo below!) The factory was a mass of whirring machinery that has over the years perfected this amazing pen – we were told interesting facts about the ink composition for different markets (they change it depending on the climate) and how over 3.5 tons of ink is produced there each day – and we also saw their amazing ‘test lab’ where literally thousands of Bic pens are tested each day – the quality checks at every stage of production are simply astounding.
As I began writing this post I wanted to just double check the spelling of Cristal and I found a full Wiki entry for this iconic pen!
Although the Cristal pens are not available for the promotional products marketplace (as the unique angled shape means there isn’t a good print area for personalisation) – there are of course, plenty of other brilliant Bic pens available with fabulous print areas – check out our full Bic range – whatever you choose you can rest assured that all Bic pens are made with the same exacting standards of care and quality.

Just received this product review for printed flashdrives – David ordered our popular Mini USBs for a Scottish University & commented -
“This is an excellent way to provide customers with large handbooks and course materials in an inexpensive and easily manageable format. It saves on copying costs and the environment which can only be good for everybody.”

As I said yesterday – we’ve been inundated with brilliant new promotional items so far this year. For many, when choosing a promotional item the aim is to get remembered and noticed … well how about this for a super quirky promotional idea … check out these fab 2 in 1 back scratchers with shoe horns … I’m pretty convinced if you gave these out at an event or trade show you’d certainly raise lots of smiles and start plenty of banter!

Wow, January’s almost over and what a busy month it’s been – we’ve been to 3 trade shows and have seen 100s (if not 1000s) of new promotional items and we still have several appointments and visits in the diary to see even more! (yippee!)
Some of our best selling promotional items of 2011 were promotional notebooks; and I think this is a product category that’ll increase further this year as there were loads and loads of new styles, colours and sizes of notepads on display.

Getting my daughter from her bed to nursery each morning involves plenty of deal making … “after you get dressed you can have some more milk”, “when you’ve got your coat on and you’re in the car you can have grapes” … whilst I guess that rings a bell with any parent – I wonder how many think of it as a series of successful negotiations?!
This month’s Blue Paper covers the art of negotiating – read it now or download for later; this really interesting paper takes you through the art and science of negotiations and advises on getting an outcome that works for everyone involved!
BTW, to define the acronyms in the headline …
BATNA – Best Alternative to Negotiated Agreement – should the deal fall through, what might you be prepared to agree to?
ZOPA – Zone of Possible Agreement – what you will and won’t accept!
