Instagram has unveiled new features to make it a more valuable marketing tool for small businesses.
According to the organisation, businesses have increasingly sought to gain more value for the social network.
Indeed, a series of interviews it carried out with company bosses indicated they want to use the site to stand out, find new customers and get insights.
Instagram has therefore unveiled its new Business Tools, which it believes meets these criteria and will enable the platform to “work even better for businesses.”
This will include the ability to set up a dedicated business profile, which enables firms to choose how they want their customers to contact them, directs people to their premises and offers valuable data insights.
Among the insights will be details of who their followers are, which posts are yielding the best results and information on the behaviour and demographics of their audience.
Instagram believes this will help small businesses “create more relevant and timely content.”
“These business tools are just some of the ways we hope to make growing a business on Instagram that much easier,” it said.
Instagram will start rolling out the new Business Tools features in the US, Australia and New Zealand, but they will be available across the whole world by the end of 2016.
