He is partly responsible for ushering in the full potential of the digital age, bringing with it a whole gamut of sophisticated communication tools – like email, instant messaging and connecting through social networks.
But Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of networking behemoth Facebook, still hasn't forgotten some of the more old-fashioned ways we have of talking to each other.
The US billionaire was reported this week as using his own personalised stationery, all created in-house by one of the firm's designers.
Zuckerberg uses embossed paper and seals his envelopes with a seal that reads: “From the desk of Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook”.
“Mark gets a lot of mail thanking him from people with amazing personal stories made possible because of Facebook. We wanted to make something a little more personal and special for him to respond,” Ben Barry, who designed the stationery, was quoted by TNW.com as saying.
Here at 4imprint, we think this is a great use of promotional items. While many Facebook followers no doubt get in touch with its founder in more electronic ways, Mr Zuckerberg has shown with his savvy use of branded stationery that he hasn't forgotten about those who like to do things a little slower.
