Ecommerce giant Amazon unsurprisingly tops a new list of consumers' top 100 retail websites.
The poll, by retail analyst Verdict, reveals that UK consumers visit Amazon more than any other retailer website, with the website receiving 18.8 per cent of purchase visits (when a consumer visits a website when considering making a purchase).
After Amazon, the top ten is dominated by big names. eBay, Tesco, Argos and Play.com make up the top five, followed by John Lewis, Asda, Next, Marks & Spencer and Currys.
Matt Piner, senior retail analyst at Verdict, said: “Online has the potential to offer a more level playing field than the high street, as there is potential for smaller retailers to compete with their larger rivals in a way that they are not able to do with physical stores.”
If you've recently launched a website, why not consider using promotional items to tell people about it?
Pop your website address on a range of promotional mugs, for example, and distribute them as part of your marketing efforts – a great way to get your name out there.
