When it comes to promotional gifts – offering clients something functional is always a good idea – that's why promotional pens are so popular among our corporate clients.

Neal Beagles, chairman of the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA), said that the promotional gifts industry has undergone a huge number of changes in the years since he first started work.

One of the things that hasn't changed, is the consummate professionalism that the industry abides by, Mr Beagles claimed.

Another thing that is still a cornerstone of the industry is the power of practical gifts.

Speaking to Promotional Merchandise, Mr Beagles said: “During the recent bad weather, it was my trusty, branded ice scraper that was in favour. It's useful, durable, economical and easily branded.

“I am also a big fan of wall planners, they give you an at-a-glace round-up of your meetings and commitments which I don't think you get from a diary on a tiny telephone screen.”
