Outdoor concerts present a range of opportunities for charities to use promotional products to garner support and drive awareness of their cause.

Take representatives from the charity Combat Stress for example – recently they pitched up at a classical concert in Lincolnshire armed with promotional pens to raise some cash for their cause.

Horncastle News reports that the charity members were joined by staff from nearby RAF Coningsby who helped man their stall at the Battle Proms event, at Burghley House in Stamford.

Combat Stress provides treatment and support to ex-service men and women with conditions such as post-traumatic stress, depression and anxiety.

In between listening to some beautiful classical music and enjoying fireworks, people attending the event had the chance to visit the charity’s stall, where they could buy promotional t-shirts, pens and books.

Combat Stress volunteer and community fundraising assistant, Faye Waters, told the newspaper: “Even though the weather wasn’t great, the team managed to collect a fantastic amount of money, beating 2010’s collection by £552.30.”

The Battle Proms, which take place at a series of beautiful locations across the UK, is the UK’s premier classical picnic proms event.
