Promotional bags have been used to mark a Huddersfield newspaper's move to new offices.

The Huddersfield Daily Examiner held an official opening ceremony for the paper's transfer to its new town centre location.

Former football player Andy Booth, town crier Vic Watson and newspaper editor Roy Wright all attended the event, spending their time meeting the paper's readers.

Those who came along were given promotional bags and free buns.

“It's great for the Examiner to have a presence in the town centre once again, especially in such a prestigious setting looking on to award-winning St George's Square,” Mr Wright said.

We at 4imprint think this use of promotional gifts is really quite clever.

Local newspapers reflect the heartbeat of their communities, and by interacting with its readers in this way the newspaper has really strengthened its ties.
