A Welsh charity has made promotional bags the centrepiece of its campaign to encourage participants in a marathon.
Action for Children Wales, which celebrates its 100th birthday this year, will be taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon and wants runners to join its team.
As part of its promotional efforts to garner support, the charity will give anyone joining its team promotional bags and fundraising packs.
Action for Children works with vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people and their families affected by issues including poverty, neglect, abuse, disability, family problems and homelessness.
Using promotional merchandise in this way is a great way to market an outdoor event like a half marathon.
Offering physical rewards gives participants something long-lasting they can take home with them, serving as a permanent reminder of the event and the hard work they put in.
Nina Rice, Action for Children community fundraiser, said: “Whether you're an experienced runner or taking part in your first half-marathon, we would be delighted to have you run for Action for Children and support you in this fantastic challenge.”
