Promotional bags will be given out to participants in an upcoming World Heart Day 2011 event in Cambridgeshire.
The event, held on Sunday Sepmteber 25th at Grafham Water, will see hundreds of former patients of Papworth Hospital and their families and friends don their outdoor gear and complete a challenging trail, cycle or run – receiving promotional items for their efforts at the end, Bedfordshire News reports.
Now in its seventh year, the event raises funds for Papworth Hospital Charity and raises general awareness about the importance of a healthy heart.
Participants can choose to walk, run or cycle three, six or nine miles whilst raising funds towards the target of £40,000 .
All who take part will receive promotional bags and a medal at the finish – a great way for a charity to say thank you.
Giving something concrete and physical at events like this is a lot better than a follow-up thank you email or a Facebook status update.
By giving out real products, you're giving participants something they can use and that means they won't forget you – a great way to keep people coming back.
