This week is National Customer Service Week – a perfect opportunity to get some promotional items distributed among your customer base and staff.

Organised by the Institute of Customer Service, the week-long initiative aims to raise awareness of customer service and the role it plays in successful business practice.

Businesses are encouraged to sign up to the week and celebrate it by staging a host of events and activities.

The institute recommends putting up banners, posters and balloons, promoting the week on emails, websites, newsletters and on stationery – such as promotional pens.

The focus of the week is primarily on employees – recognising the efforts and achievements of people working in customer service and the dedication they show to the role.

If you’re celebrating the week, why not take over the in-house magazine with a special edition, or hold a coffee morning for staff, distributing promotional mugs.

For your valued customers, think about staging an open day where they can come and see ‘behind the scenes’.
